FrameZero Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FrameZero (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are / Contact

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. The Service

FrameZero is a browser-based video creation tool. The Service may include:

  • a web app and related sites
  • local projects stored in your browser
  • optional cloud storage features (if available on your plan)
  • media uploads and exports

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to hosting providers, cloud storage providers, payment processors, authentication providers, analytics services, and content delivery networks.

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, or policies of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Accounts and Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • all activity under your account

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

6. Local Projects (Important)

Some projects may be stored locally in your browser (for example, using browser storage).
If you clear browser storage, switch devices, uninstall, or lose access to your browser profile, local projects may be lost. We are not responsible for loss of local-only projects.

7. Your Content (Projects and Uploads)

“User Content” includes your projects, exports, and any media you upload (images, audio, etc.).

7.1 Ownership

You own your User Content. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

7.2 License to operate the Service

You grant FrameZero a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including generating exports and maintaining backups.

This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except for copies retained for backup, legal, or security purposes.

7.3 Rights to Upload and Use Content

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and use your User Content;
  • your User Content does not infringe or violate any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party;
  • your User Content complies with applicable laws and regulations.

You are solely responsible for your User Content.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • upload infringing, illegal, or harmful content
  • attempt to break, bypass, or probe the Service’s security
  • reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law
  • scrape, automate, or abuse the Service in a way that harms reliability or other users

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

9. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation (If applicable)

If you purchase a paid plan:

  • your subscription auto-renews until cancelled
  • you authorize recurring charges to your payment method
  • cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise
  • fees are non-refundable except where required by law
  • we may change pricing with notice as required by law

9.1 Downgrades and data retention

If your subscription ends or you downgrade, your access to cloud features may be reduced or disabled. You are responsible for exporting or downloading your User Content before cancelling or downgrading. We are not responsible for loss of access to cloud-stored User Content resulting from cancellation, downgrade, or non-payment.

10. Intellectual Property

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding, except for User Content.
You may not copy, resell, or distribute the Service or our branding without permission.

Include sufficient information to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the Service, other users, or legal compliance.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FRAMEZERO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR $0 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US), UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify FrameZero from claims arising out of:

  • your User Content
  • your use of the Service
  • your violation of these Terms
  • your violation of third-party rights or law

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law rules.

19. Export Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a resident of any country or region subject to U.S. government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You agree not to use, export, or re-export the Service in violation of applicable U.S. export laws or regulations.
